album-breadcrumbs-nextgen-galleryNextGEN Plus & Pro now offer album breadcrumbs when using the automated album and gallery display when included within an album.

"Breadcrumbs typically appear horizontally across the top of a Web page, often below title bars or headers. They provide links back to each previous page the user navigated through to get to the current page or—in hierarchical site structures—the parent pages of the current one. Breadcrumbs provide a trail for the user to follow back to the starting or entry point. A greater-than sign (>) often serves as hierarchy separator, although designers may use other glyphs (such as » or ›), as well as various graphical treatments." - Wikipedia

Here is how breadcrumbs work with NextGEN Gallery. Install NextGEN Plus or Pro, then insert an album and enable breadcrumbs.

As long as you are not using the link to page feature for albums or galleries, then when viewing one included within the album, you will see something like this at the top of album/gallery:

Top Album Name » Sub Album Name » Gallery Name
or
Top Album Name » Gallery Name

Here is a video showing you the new feature.

To see this in action head over to the Pro List Album and Pro Grid Album demos.

  1. My breadcrumbs are not working all of a sudden. I can see them but the links aren’t working on desktop or mobile sites. I’ve checked all my settings to make sure breadcrumbs have been enabled and everything looks good so I don’t understand what would cause them to all of a sudden stop working. Any help or direction would be great!
