What's new with the WordPress Lightroom plugin from Imagely

What's new with the WordPress Lightroom plugin from ImagelyIt's amazing how many customers installed the Lightroom plugin once we announced it. Thank you!

We had the Lightroom plugin out in the wild being beta tested for a long time before we actually released it. But software is never 100% certain, so it was to no surprise that we started receiving some tickets on various issues.

With that - we're happy to share our first update to the Lightroom plugin.  One that solves a bunch of issues that came up from your tests.

Instructions

  1. Download the update from your account.
  2. Run the installer and it will override your existing plugin.

To confirm you're running the latest version of the Lightroom plugin, go to Plugins Manager in Lightroom. Choose the Imagely plugin and you will see the version number there.

Changes in 1.0.8:

  • Improved reliability of publishing (requires NextGEN 2.2.7 or higher)
  • Improved performance of gallery publishing (requires NextGEN 2.2.7 or higher)

  1. IN the next version I hope to find the chance to manage my galleries/albums from different catalogues. I have 10 different catalogues but I manage just one website!
    There’s a alredy a plugin doing this job 😉

  2. Hey Scott,

Can you do a complete walk through of the installation please. Your plugin does not function the same way as my one.
I have been trying for 5 days to get it working now. Please don’t skip the Fetch stage and can you clarify the path as in my Lightroom the last line stays selected (Purple Line). Between editing the preset and Fetching the plugin changes something and adds /ngg after wp-content

    1. I can make another video in the future, sure. Regarding any trouble you’re having, please contact support and the team can help you with it.

  3. Has this solved the issue of tags not being picked up from Lightroom?

    1. Lightroom Keywords do get transferred to Tags in NextGEN Gallery. But there is a bug in NextGEN Gallery which removes meta for resized images. We’re working on a fix for an upcoming release.

  4. Will transfer of keywords from Lightroom to NextGen Pro ever be added?

This is a deal breaker in my opinion.
