Adding a 404 Error page

A 404 error page is a great way to enhance the user experience and support SEO. For users, it prevents frustration by providing clear explanations and navigation options like search bars or links to popular pages, keeping them engaged and helping them find relevant content. For SEO, it signals to search engines which pages are no longer available, maintaining the site's search ranking and overall health.

With the Imagely theme, it's easy to add a 404 error page on your site to start creating a smooth user experience.

To get started, first, navigate to Appearance > Customize to open the customizer for the Imagely Theme.

Then you'll need to head to the Body section of your site to find all the options for customizing your site's layout.

Finally, click on the 404 Error Page section to start customizing the 404 error page that will be used on your website.

From here you'll be able to set whether to use a blank page or use elements from your site and even adjust the width of the error page.

And that's it! Now you're ready to provide users a helpful experience while maintaining your SEO presence.
