whats new with nextgen gallery plus proFollowing our big release with the front end gallery improvements, here comes a variety of behind the scenes improvements.

In this update, you'll find FontAwesome updated to version 5, some caching improvements for randomized galleries, memory usage improvements, and much more.

Backup Before Upgrading

Please consider backing up your site (both server files & MySQL Database) whenever updating plugins.  Here are some backup recommendations.


Download NextGEN Gallery from our WordPress gallery plugin page on WordPress.org or visit the Plugin page in your WordPress admin area to utilize the auto-update feature.

  1. Does the Plus or Pro version of NextGEN Gallery offer a Bold or Italic Button in the description so we don’t have to know HTML?

    1. No, it does not but there are a few third-party plugins which add a search widget. We’re also planning on one in the future, but there are a bunch of other features which are a priority right now.
