NextGEN Gallery 2.0 includes a rebuild of NextGEN Gallery’s interface. More specifically, the interface that you see when inside of a post or page.
To get the full effect of the difference between the new interface and the original, take a look at the screenshot below.
It was a simple interface but we users wanted more control so the new interface is dramatically changed. We are calling it the Attach to Post Interface, because you are attaching a gallery with specific custom settings.
So by using the new interface, you can have a custom slideshow or thumbnail dimensions per gallery that you include on the post or page. Within the interface you can also manage galleries, albums and upload new photos. All without leaving where you’re working.
Neat, huh?
This is just one of the many great features in NextGEN Gallery 2.0, and a sample of what is coming in the future. If you want to give it a try now, check out NextGEN Gallery 2.0 beta – but remember that it is for testing only and not for a live website.
