But it's also more powerful than that.
The Test Payment gateway serves multiple purposes:
- It allows you to test the checkout process.
- It allows developers to build upon NextGEN Pro's gateway module system.
- It allows you to enable your own customers to bypass a payment.
Number 3 is a big one for NextGEN Pro users. However, it is important to note that gateways are global. So if you are enable the Test Payment Gateway on your site, then all public Ecommerce galleries will have that gateways's checkout button, which bypasses a payment.
