Documentation, Reference Materials and Tutorials for Imagely
Imagely Pro Ecommerce makes it quick and easy to get your images or products up for sale through any of our gallery displays in just a few short steps.
Everything for your store sits on one screen, Imagely > eCommerce, which is divided into the tabs General Info | Orders | Proofing | Pricelists | Coupons | Other Options. Two progress cards at the top of that screen, “Ecommerce Setup” and “Automated Print Fulfillment”, show how many of the setup steps you have finished.
1. Configure your ecommerce settings under Imagely > eCommerce > General Info. (link: https://www.imagely.com/ecommerce-settings/ — title “Ecommerce Settings”) That tab is headed “E-commerce Store Setup” and contains the sub-steps Studio Details | Email Setup | Payment Setup | Page Setup | PrintLab Integration.
Shipping, sales tax, cart cookie and coupon settings are on the separate Other Options tab (Imagely > eCommerce > Other Options).
2. Create one or more pricelists under Imagely > eCommerce > Pricelists. (link: https://www.imagely.com/docs/create-pricelist/) Click “Add New Pricelist”, enter a name in the “New Pricelist Name” field of the “Add New Pricelist” window, and click “Create Pricelist”. Then click the pricelist name to open the pricelist editor, where the “Bulk Markup” and “Add New Product” buttons sit above the product category tabs Prints | Canvas | Mounted Prints | Metal Prints | Acrylic Prints | Wood Prints | Bamboo Panels | Digital Download.
3. To assign your pricelist to a gallery navigate to Imagely > Galleries and click the gallery title in the “Gallery Title” column of the “Manage Galleries” table. That opens the “Edit Gallery” wizard.
Go to step “03 Settings” (Review & Configure), switch on “Enable eCommerce” in the “eCommerce Settings” section, choose your pricelist from the “Pricelist” dropdown, and click “Update”. That sets the pricelist for the whole gallery.
To price a single image differently, go to step “01 Images”, hover the image, click the vertical three-dot icon and choose “Edit Details”; in the “Edit Image” modal use the “Pricelist” dropdown (“Use gallery’s pricelist”, “None (not for sale)”, or a named pricelist) and click “Save Changes”.
If you want one pricelist used across your store by default, set it as the “Default pricelist” under Imagely > eCommerce > General Info > Page Setup.
4. A gallery’s display settings are part of the same wizard, so you set them on the gallery itself rather than at the moment you insert it. Use step “02 Customize” (Layout & Settings) for “Choose Layout” and the “Customize Gallery Look” options, and step “03 Settings” for ecommerce.
Then place the gallery on your post or page with the Imagely block, or paste the shortcode shown in the “Shortcode” column of the Galleries table, for example [imagely id=”6″].
Be sure to switch on “Enable eCommerce” in the “eCommerce Settings” section of step “03 Settings” and click “Update”, so the gallery is saved with ecommerce active.
5. It is important to note that Ecommerce is active in the NextGEN Pro Lightbox display, so you’ll need to make sure that is set as your active Lightbox Effect under Imagely > Settings > Lightbox Effects.
Each gallery also has a “Lightbox Library” dropdown on step “03 Settings” of the Edit Gallery wizard, which notes: “This lightbox setting affects all galleries on your site, not just this one.
To configure additional lightbox options, visit the Settings page.”
ORDERS, PROOFING AND PRINT FULFILLMENT
Orders arrive on the Imagely > eCommerce > Orders tab, with the columns ID | Date | Customer | Order Status | Payment Gateway | Coupon | Total, and filters for “All Dates” and “All Order Statuses”.
Print fulfillment is set up under Imagely > eCommerce > General Info > PrintLab Integration, where “Update credit card” stores your card with Stripe rather than in WordPress or Imagely.
Version 4.4.0 added EU and UK shipping across 28 countries for every print category, and checkout shows a notice that import duties are the buyer’s responsibility. At checkout the international option is labelled “International Shipping”.
Proof requests submitted by your clients are listed on the Imagely > eCommerce > Proofing tab, with a “View Request” action on each row. Proofing itself is switched on per gallery with “Enable proofing” in “Customize Gallery Look” on step “02 Customize” of the Edit Gallery wizard. Discount codes live on the Coupons tab.
