It is with great pleasure that we get to share with you our latest theme release.
Today we launch Imagely 2.0, built on our next generation theme framework, which is faster, slimmer, robust, and more capable than the previous Genesis-based themes.
With Imagely 2.0, you’ll get all designs from our Genesis-based themes available as presets in a single theme package, plus a new design that we think you’ll like called Headshots. Imagely 2.0 has hundreds of customization options that deliver unlimited design potential.
On December 8th, 2020, WordPress 5.6 will be released and updating one of its core third-party libraries, jQuery, from version 1.12.4 to 3.5.1.
This is a significant change that will affect all WordPress plugins & themes. WordPress 5.7, which is currently scheduled sometime in March 2021, will include more jQuery-related changes. WordPress is quickly moving forward to take advantage of the latest technologies, which is excellent news for all Imagely customers.
Imagely 2.0 is up-to-date and ready for WordPress 5.6 and 5.7.
IMPORTANT: With the release of this Imagely 2.0, we will be discontinuing support for our Genesis-based themes. The codebase for these themes is based on older technologies that will not work in WordPress 5.6 and later.
We encourage all Imagely customers to migrate to the Imagely 2.0 theme as soon as possible.
Because this is a brand new theme framework, you will not be able to swap Imagely 2.0 with a Genesis-based theme.
However, between the new preset system and the stunning customizer controls, we are confident you can switch to the new theme and have an incredible site in little to no time.

Finally, we want to share a change we're making to the customer plans at Imagely. The new Imagely Theme 2.0 will be available to all new customers in the Pro plan. Existing Plus customers with access to our original Genesis child themes are grandfathered in, so if you are a Plus plan member then you will still have access to the new theme as our way of saying thank you for your loyalty.
